About the event

An Elegy is a new composition by Mees Vervuurt in which the trainees of the Netherlands Chamber Choir, a physical performer, and a percussionist attempt to merge with the environment. During the O. Festival and Oerol, they engaged in a special dialogue with nature; now, Studio Vacuum, NKK NXT, and Muziekgebouw Productiehuis join forces for a one-off performance in the ideal acoustics of the Main Hall. The singers sing in their own native languages (Korean, Catalan, Occitan, French, Portuguese, Dutch, and Cypriot Greek), complemented by subtle percussion. A compelling quest for that one moment of musical perfection.

An Elegy is a production of Studio Vacuüm and the Netherlands Chamber Choir.
