Is this your event?About the event
Marcel Worms, a classically trained pianist, proves his versatility. He has been working at the intersection of classical music and jazz for some time. For the first time, he presents himself on a CD as a jazz pianist, a long-cherished wish that is now being fulfilled in honour of his 75th birthday. The CD contains improvisations on jazz standards and themes by Bach. Combination of classical and jazz
The new CD also offers space for short classical pieces that previously did not find a place on his earlier recordings. These works radiate the freedom, freshness and spontaneity that are so characteristic of jazz music. They complement the improvisations on Bach and jazz Standards in a unique way and show a new side of Worms' musical talent.
Enjoy a varied repertoire
During the concert, which also serves as a CD presentation, Marcel Worms will perform a wide selection from the repertoire of his new album. You will have the chance to experience both his jazz improvisations and the rediscovered classical gems live. A musical journey that takes you along various styles and influences, performed by a masterful pianist.
