Welcome to Imagine Drag, a world of inspiration, artistry, queer imaginings and drag spectacular. A variety show born out of the Kings Collab which platforms all the glitz, glamour and gay of being dazzled by feathers, rhinestones and grandeur as well as the vulnerability of feeling the emotions of a performer in the same room as you. An ode to drag and a playground for performers this variety show sets out to thrill audience members and bring them joy, fun and fulfillmentThe world of a drag persona and of drag in general is one of believing in, embodying and presenting a version of yourself that the world did not craft for you. A version of yourself or even the world that celebrates queerness, that subverts and reimagines gender, the spectacular and the possibilities human beings have of being alive in joy. It is watching a drag performer believe so wholly in the fact that they are singing that you forget they are lip syncing. Imagine Drag lives as a result of this magic. This show will be ongoing so watch out for new installments. We are excited to announce that for our first performance, Imagine Drag: Extravaganza, we have a spectacular and show stopping line up of performers.
