Modeling Library

At Ateliê Vivo's modeling library, participants examine the many operations that make up garment construction and reflect on identity, gender, diversity, autonomy, environment, sustainability and production methods. Visitors work through every stage of building a piece of clothing, from cutting to sewing, using the space's machinery and tools. Patterns can be used as provided, modified, personalized and/or remixed. Each person develops their own study path and explores their creativity, building a garment with guidance on equipment use, machines, pattern reading and sewing technique. Knowledge is shared between participants and instructors in a collaborative setting where everyone exchanges skills.
