Black Star, consisting of Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli, returns to Paradiso in November. They'll play hits from their debut album, "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star," and their second album, "No Fear Of Time." Cult classic Two of hip-hop's most respected and acclaimed solo artists collaborated as Black Star in 1998 on their groundbreaking debut, "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star." This project cemented their position as standard-bearers of socially conscious rap, combining sharp political commentary, Afrocentric philosophy, and poetic wordplay with soulful, jazzy beats. Their chemistry, lyrical depth, and dedication to truth-telling made the album a cult classic and a blueprint for generations of underground artists. After years of solo success, Black Star reunited in 2022 for 'No Fear of Time', produced by Madlib, reminding the world that their voices still sound just as powerful.
