Come dressed in your red-and-white casual wear and skip the mega-crowds in the city this National Day Eve! Celebrations Hub is partnering with our sister group, Evening Walks, to soak in the festive vibes right in the heart of our community! 🌆 Celebrating National Day Through Our Co-Hosts' Lens To us, celebrating National Day is about honoring Singapore's progress through the lives of everyday people and thriving communities. Two of your event co-hosts bring a meaningful grassroots perspective to this event, having previously dedicated years of honorary, pro-bono service as District Councillors with the North East CDC (Community Development Council)—the local statutory body behind community unity and resident support schemes like the popular CDC Vouchers. Through their eyes, National Day is best celebrated by witnessing real heartland progress—built step-by-step in our neighborhoods rather than just watched from afar in the crowded city. Following the official "Walking Trails @ CDC: Tampines" route offers us an authentic way to experience this vibrant community spirit firsthand, right in the North East District managed by NE CDC. Our walk concludes right at Tampines Regional Centre, Singapore’s pioneer flagship model for urban decentralization.
