PechaKucha #70 Lost is a Place Too
About the event
PechaKucha Cape Town Nights #70 Lost is a place too.Everyone has been lost. Not just geographically, but emotionally, professionally, spiritually, in grief, in love, in identity. Sometimes we lose our way. Sometimes we lose what we thought we knew. Sometimes getting lost takes us somewhere we never expected to go. For our 70th PechaKucha Cape Town Night we are bringing together a collection of very different people and stories around one idea: Lost is a place too. Expect stories of unexpected journeys, strange detours, reinvention, discovery, adventure, obsession, courage, curiosity and the places people have found themselves when the original map stopped working. And because this is PechaKucha, every speaker gets exactly:20 images. 20 seconds each. 6 minutes 40 seconds. No long lectures. No endless slides. Just fast, visual storytelling from people with something worth sharing. You may hear from someone with an unusual job or extraordinary hobby. Someone who went on a wild adventure. Someone who built, discovered or created something. Someone whose life changed direction completely. Or someone who simply has a remarkable story you would never have expected. That is part of the magic of PechaKucha. You don't quite know what you are going to hear until you are in the room. Join us on 22 October 2026 as PechaKucha Cape Town celebrates its 70th event with an evening of stories about losing the map, finding another route and discovering what can happen in between. PechaKucha Cape Town 70Lost is a place too.
