More on the Artist A Hollywood actor, writer, and director, Morin imbues the spirit of Papa Hemingway and talks in the first person of Hem’s incredibly rich and rocky life journey. With an uncanny resemblance, David work as Hem is “riveting”, “utterly spellbound!” Morin has acted opposite such stars as Jennifer Aniston, Dustin Hoffman, Bill Paxton and Jacob Elordi over his own fifty-year adventure as a Hollywood actor in TV and film. His storytelling skills are beyond compare. Morin reads bits of prose straight from Hemingway’s best works throughout the performance. The one-man show captures the essence of “Papa” and gives the audience a true encounter with the legend. “Papa was in the house”. “David's greatest achievement is making Hemingway feel alive.” ‘Papa Hem’ has been touring through the Western Cape for a year now and Morin prides himself in polishing the script weekly. “It’s much stronger now than when I started,” sez the thespian from Los Angeles. “Hem is ten times more cantankerous and contrite. He’s a handful emotionally, he packs a wallop!” Audiences agree! “Not a whisper was heard as David spoke, he cried, laughed and even shouted. 10/10 on every count.”
