About the event

During the Cold War, Swedish farm worker Karl-Göran Persson builds a bombproof shelter for the people in his village. They watch his efforts, which take many years, with dismay. John Skoog’s second feature film is characterised by sparse dialogue, physical acting and a significant role for the soundtrack. A man takes on a task, and won’t let go. In the case of Swedish farm worker Karl-Göran Persson, this not letting go lasts for many years; years during which Persson exhausts himself building a bombproof shelter for all the residents of his village.
