Moving QA Automation to Autonomous | 2nd Austin Meetup
About the event
*2nd Austin Meetup – Moving QA Automation to Autonomous*
What happens when AI moves QA automation beyond simply generating test scripts?
This session explores how AI can be integrated across the Software Testing Life Cycle to move Quality Engineering from reactive defect detection toward continuous, intelligent quality.
From Shift Left to Build Right, the discussion looks at how quality can become part of the entire software delivery journey. You’ll also explore how AI can empower manual QA professionals and domain SMEs to create and maintain autonomous, self-healing tests — and how to measure whether these AI investments are actually delivering business value.
*Event Details*
• Date: 29 September 2026 • Time: 06:00 PM – 08:00 PM • Venue: Meeting Room at Super 8 by Wyndham Austin North 8128 North Interstate Highway 35, Austin, TX 78753
*Session – Moving QA Automation to Autonomous*
*Speaker: Rohit Singh Raja*
The session will take you through the evolution from traditional QA automation to AI-enabled autonomous testing.
You’ll explore:
• AI Across the Testing Life Cycle – Integrating AI across software testing to build quality into every stage of delivery. • From Shift Left to Build Right – Moving quality beyond downstream testing and embedding it across requirements, design, development, testing, and production. • Empowering Manual QA & SMEs – Using AI to help non-coding QA professionals and domain experts create and maintain autonomous, self-healing tests at sprint and regression levels. • Measuring AI ROI – Connecting AI investments to testing effort, release velocity, defect leakage, automation maintenance, productivity, and cost of quality.
*How This Meetup Solves Your Problem*
• Automation still depends heavily on specialists? Explore how AI can help manual QA and SMEs contribute to automation. • Testing happens too late in the delivery cycle? See how the shift from Shift Left to Build Right expands quality across the SDLC. • Automation maintenance takes too much effort? Learn how autonomous and self-healing tests can reduce the maintenance burden. • AI investments are difficult to justify? Explore a practical approach to measuring their ROI through quality and business outcomes.
*Why Show Up on 29 September?*
• Because AI is changing not just how we automate, but who can participate in automation. • Because quality needs to move beyond defect detection toward continuous quality across the delivery lifecycle. • Because autonomous testing means more than AI-generated scripts — it also involves creating, maintaining, and adapting tests. • Because AI investments in QE need to be measured through real outcomes, not just the number of tools adopted. • Because the next step in QA automation may be less about writing more tests and more about building smarter, more autonomous quality systems
