A Koolhoven & Simons evening during Queer Power, featuring the highly imaginative strangeness fest Diamantino: a satire/crime caper/romantic comedy mashup with a light touch about a lesbian secret agent and a star footballer who gets mixed up in an anti-EU conspiracy. "A dark fairytale, but for adults", is how debut filmmakers Daniel Schmidt and Gabriel Abrantes described their explosive genre mashup about a Portuguese football icon – it’s hard not to think of a certain Ronaldo, played here by Carloto Cotta. We also meet his two cruel sisters, gigantic long-haired dogs rushing around a stadium, a nun, a young police officer, a lesbian secret agent disguised as a male refugee, an academic, a TV presenter and other colourful characters.
