GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteer gardeners who critically upkeep them as public green spaces.Bay 84th Street Community Garden, is seeking volunteers and new garden members who are interested in helping preserve this vital green space. The garden is creating space for those who are curious and willing to dig in. Join us for a hands-on volunteer day to beautify the garden! Spend the day digging in alongside fellow community members as we tackle garden clean-up tasks such as weeding, spreading mulch, litter collection, and general garden maintenance. No prior experience necessary - beginners are welcome! GreenThumb will provide supplies and facilitation.This is a great opportunity to support and join a dynamic community space while learning about community gardens. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water and snacks.
