🚀🌴 [Startup Oasis - Madrid] Against the Odds: Building a Startup Today!

🚀🌴 [Startup Oasis - Madrid] Against the Odds: Building a Startup Today!

Is it getting harder to build a startup… or are the rules simply changing?

Funding is tighter. Investors are more selective. AI is transforming entire industries almost overnight. Teams can build more with fewer people — but expectations are also higher than ever. Welcome to startup life in 2026. 😅

On September 29, Startup Oasis Madrid is bringing founders, investors, entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts together for a candid 2-hour round table about what it really means to build an early-stage company today. And we want this to be a conversation — not another event where you quietly sit through 45 slides. 😉

🔥 What are we talking about?

We’ll dig into some of the questions many founders and investors are asking right now:

💰 Funding – Is the early-stage investment landscape fundamentally different today?

📊 Traction – How much validation, revenue or momentum do investors expect before taking a startup seriously?

🤖 AI – Has AI lowered the barrier to building startups… or simply raised the bar for everyone?

🌍 Europe – What are the advantages and disadvantages of building an ambitious startup in Europe in 2026?

🥾 Bootstrapping vs. fundraising – Should founders stay lean longer before looking for capital?

🧠 Founder resilience – How do you keep making good decisions when uncertainty is basically part of your job description?

🚀 Opportunities – Where are founders and investors seeing genuine opportunities right now? There won’t necessarily be one answer — and that’s exactly the point.

🎙️ Joining the conversation: Dan Marques

Dan Marques is a founder, entrepreneur and startup ecosystem builder who has spent years connecting founders, investors and technology communities. He is a Serial Founder, the founder of Startup Oasis, co-founder of MalagaStartups.com, and an active mentor and community organizer involved in helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into real companies. Expect practical experience, strong opinions, plenty of questions — and an open conversation about what founders are really facing today.

🗣️ This is a ROUND TABLE

That means you’re part of the event.

• Bring your questions. • Bring your experience. • Bring the startup challenge that has been keeping you awake at 2 AM. 😅 • Founders can hear how investors are thinking. • Investors can hear what founders are actually experiencing. • And everyone gets the chance to connect with people building, investing and working in the startup ecosystem.

🙌 Who should join?

✨ Startup founders 💸 Angel investors & VCs 🧑‍💻 Aspiring entrepreneurs 🚀 Startup operators 🤝 Ecosystem builders 💡 Anyone seriously considering building a company

Whether you're already fundraising, bootstrapping your MVP, investing in early-stage companies, or still wondering whether now is the right time to start — you’ll find people here asking many of the same questions.
