JUMPS COACHING CLINIC 2026 Schola Sports Africa (Schola SA) presents an exciting Jumps Coaching Clinic designed for young, developing and competitive athletes who want to improve their skills, technique and overall performance in the jumping events. When: Saturday, 10 October 2026Where: Parow Athletics TrackEvents: Long Jump | High Jump | Triple Jump Whether you're still learning the fundamentals or looking to refine your technique and take your performance to the next level, this clinic provides a practical, athlete-focused environment led by experienced and qualified athletics coaches. AGES 10–13 YEARS | R100Registration: 08:00–08:45Clinic: 09:00–11:00This introductory development session focuses on building strong jumping foundations through age-appropriate coaching, practical drills and progressive skill development. Athletes will work on Long Jump and High Jump, with emphasis on jumps-specific warm-ups, coordination, run-up development, take-off, landing and correcting common technical mistakes.The goal is simple: help young athletes understand the jumps, build confidence and develop better movement and technique from the start. AGES 14 YEARS & OLDER | R150Registration: 11:00–11:25Clinic: 11:30–14:30Events include Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump.This session is designed for developing and more experienced athletes and combines practical coaching with a theory component.Athletes will work through jumps-specific preparation, drills, run-up development and correction, take-off and landing, while progressing into more intermediate and advanced technical aspects of the jumping events.The session is aimed at helping athletes identify weaknesses, improve efficiency and develop a better understanding of their performance. COACHES/TEACHERS/PARENTS | R50Clinic: 09:00–14:30Events include Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump.Coaches, teachers and parents looking to join and participate in the coaching clinic, are able to do so for ONLY R50 per person. You then have the option to attend the morning session only, or the entire day to ensure that you gather as much information as possible. PLEASE NOTE: If you are not going to participate, then entry to he venue is free. Athletes do not need to be provincial or elite competitors to participate. Come ready to learn, ask questions, train and improve. IMPORTANTPlaces may be limited, and your place is only secured once your registration and payment have been successfully completed through Quicket. Participants should arrive during the registration period applicable to their age category and come dressed in appropriate athletics/training clothing. We also welcome additional businesses and brands interested in supporting youth and athletics development through the clinic.
