The musical journey of Berliner Berliner is a versatile musician, composer, producer, and bandleader. She started out as a rock drummer but discovered the vibraphone during her studies at the Oakland School for the Arts. This instrument offered her the opportunity to develop her own distinctive musical voice. Influences and style In 2016, Berliner moved to New York to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. There, she was mentored by the renowned vibraphonist Stefon Harris. His influence, particularly in the realm of harmony, has played a significant role in shaping her unique style. Musicians playing along During this concert, Sasha Berliner is accompanied on vibraphone by Rasmus Sorensen (piano), Freddie Jensen (bass), and Jamie Peet (drums).
