Join Wafa Ghnaim, founder of the Tatreez Institute, for a discussion of the works in Embroidered Traditions from Morocco to Afghanistan. Ghnaim will share her research on identifying dresses and embroidery traditions from Syria and Palestine, reconciling gaps and conflicts in historical sources, and researching the histories and provenance of dress and objects from across the region.
Following her lecture, Ghnaim will sit down for a conversation with exhibition curator, Janet Marion Purdy.
