Event details This is an interpretive guided hike led by a Texas Master Naturalist and person in recovery. We’ll cross Onion Creek, trek through the oak & juniper woodlands, wade into wetlands before we loop back to the lower falls. We’ll explore 3 to 4 different ecosystems along the way. The hike will have regular stops to talk and learn more about the environment we’re seeing.
We will meet at the Lower Falls Parking area, near where the trail head starts. That is the first right after leaving the Park Office/Entrance area. Follow the road/parking area to the end.
The hike is about 3 miles, so wear good hiking shoes and sunscreen. Bring water. The event will take about 2.5 hours and will be partially shaded. It is not a difficult hike, but there are some rocky paths and minor elevation changes. The heat will be the biggest challenge.
