Hike in Sunset Valley Nature Park
About the event
Let's take a hike in the Sunset Valley Nature Park Area. This is a lovely walk in the woods, mostly on gravel and dirt paths, and much of it is shaded. There is a gradual climb on one part of the trail, but it is not difficult, and one short steep descent. You may want to bring hiking poles. We'll walk about 3 miles in an hour and a half.
We will meet in the parking lot in front of the Petco at 5601 Brodie Lane. From there it is a short walk to the beginning of the trail. The Petco is near the intersection of Brodie and Ernest Robles Way, not far from Hwy 290/71 in south Austin.
Wear good walking shoes and bring water. And please consider if you are in shape for this kind of walk, for your own safety and in consideration of others. Check this website for cancellation if the weather is questionable. See you there!
