Conversation with Debora Patta

As part of his monthly conversations with interesting people, Mike van Graan will host a conversation with veteran journalist, Debora Patta who grew to prominence with her hard-hitting programme, 3rd Degree in the early days of e-tv. More recently, Patta has worked for international broadcasters in war zones including Ukraine, the West Bank and Sudan. She was fired by CBS after some controversy around her interview with Mike Huckabee, the USA ambassador to Israel. The conversation will cover their working together in student organisations and in 'protest theatre' in the eighties and Patta's subsequent path as a journalist. The event will take place in Artscape's Resource Centre, off Artscape's staff parking, opposite stage door.
