Reimagined Toy, Share Joy!
About the event
Looking for a meaningful family activity that encourages kindness, creativity and sustainability? Join us at the Joy of Giving Hub for a hands-on volunteer session focused on giving pre-loved toys a second life. Together, we’ll clean, sort, pack and decorate donated toys, helping prepare them to bring joy to children and families experiencing disadvantage. Children are encouraged to bring along a gently loved toy from home to donate. It's an opportunity to show children how something they have enjoyed can be passed on to another child while learning about reuse, generosity and the positive impact of giving. As a special thank you, each child will have the opportunity to choose a reimagined ‘new-to-them’ toy to take home. The toys during these sessions are shared with children and families experiencing disadvantage, helping good quality toys stay in use while bringing happiness to those who may otherwise miss out. Who can participate: Everyone aged 6 and over. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited, so registration is recommended to secure your spot. Come along with your family, meet your community and help make a difference. Let's share, reuse and care together!
