Steve Maddox is an experienced educator and abstract minimalist artist. He uses acrylic, spray paint, charcoal, and markers to create large pieces on canvas where he scrapes, scratches, and sprays water to drip, blend, and mingle paint. After over 40 years devoted to public school leadership, Maddox now focuses on his art and providing community service as a gallery teacher and art educator at The Blanton Museum of Art on the grounds of the University of Texas at Austin. Jessica Cook is a figurative painter whose work captures movement and the emotional presence of people and animals. Her most recent work focuses on quiet, dream-like encounters and fleeting moments inspired by nature and stories.
