Creative workshop for neurodivergent teens and their carers
About the event
Join us for a hands-on creative workshop for neurodiverse young people aged 12-17 and their parent, carer or support person during Carers Week and Mental Health Month. Working together, carers and young people will design and create their own lantern using a variety of art materials and creative techniques. This relaxing and hands- on activity provides an opportunity to connect, express creativity and spend quality time together in a supportive and inclusive environment. The workshop is held at Diverse Art Therapy, a neuro-friendly and accessible studio. It's a welcoming space where participants can engage at their own pace and in a way that feels comfortable for them. No previous art experience is required, and participants are encouraged to explore their creativity while enjoying a calm and positive shared experience. All materials and snacks will be provided. Places are limited and, bookings are essential. As this workshop runs during school hours, it's best suited to home-schooled teens or those with an approved leave arrangement with their school.
