Pretty Ontregeld: Findom (London) + Blanco Teta (Buenos Aires)
About the event
Geregeld Ontregeld and Pretty//Ugly link up once again to present a double bill on sunday: Findom FINDOM - MERCENARIESWatch this video on YouTube RESIGNED II by FINDOM Findom aka Financial Domination are a London based ‘industrial jazz’ slash No-wave punk ensemble born out of the frustration of a corrupt UK government & a lack of experimentation in the punk scene. Musicians hailing from across the globe (argentina, japan, canada et al) and members of a myriad of groups including King Krule, Nabihah Iqbal, Jerkcurb, Kuunatic, Lo Simple & the Golden Dregs. Their first EP ‘Pay, Pig’ first issued on tape by London’s cult favourite’s Gob Nation and issued on vinyl by Renne’s powerhouse Swish Swash will be followed by ‘Resigned II’ in 2026 (again released by Swish Swash). ‘Resigned II’ contains lyrical themes of jingoism, surveillance state paranoia, regime change and modern perversion & is their most sonically diverse piece of work yet; Bass clarinets thunder whilst percussion clatters against whiplash-inducing tempos and metallic cacophonies making space for solemn saxophones over morbid anecdotes. Blanco Teta BLANCO TETA - SUBIDUKI - Video OficialWatch this video on YouTube La Debacle de las Divas by Blanco teta The band itself describes its music as an experimental rock project, with the aggressiveness and simplicity of punk but with a great twist: relentless distorted noise soundscapes, edgy performance, transfeminist concept and an avant-garde approach. Based in Buenos Aires this quartet is a great live band with an unique sound, partly because of the presence of a cello. Going to a Blanco Teta show is an immersive experience with high levels of relentless energy and madness. Blanco Teta started in 2017 and represents a great movement that connects with other transfeminist experimental collectives from the upcoming queer latinx scene. The band has played in numerous popular venues in the Buenos Aires experimental scene. In 2022 Blanco Teta made their first European tour playing in various countries and festivals, including the Fusion Festival (DE), Valkhof Festival (NL), Welcome to the Village (NL), Nordanpaunk (ISL) and Antwerp Queer Festival (BE). In 2023 they played Clandestino, Pohoda and Trans Musicales, in 2024 Le Guess Who just to name a few. FFO: Devon Rexi, Cumgirl8, The Ex, Black Midi, the Lounge Lizards
