Join us for a fascinating day exploring the many ways DNA and genealogy can uncover answers that were once thought impossible to find. Drawing on CeCe Moore's pioneering career, including her work on the PBS series "Finding Your Roots", Moore will share stories and insights from solving family history mysteries with genetic genealogy, unknown parentage and adoption research, and the use of DNA to investigate historical questions and solve cold cases—including cases with connections to the Pacific Northwest.
This event also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the genealogy collection at The Seattle Public Library, honoring a century of helping generations of researchers discover, preserve, and share the stories of the people who came before us.

This is a full-day event featuring four presentations by CeCe Moore—two before lunch and two after. Attendees should plan to bring or buy their own lunch. Brown bag lunches are welcome in the Auditorium and in the designated eating area on Level 3 of the Central Library.
