SeaTrain!

Hello Everyone! We've got a tradition every fall of marching out way to the Seattle Half Marathon! It started back in 2010 and each year we round up a bunch of members to participate in a 12 week training! The training starts on September 7th and continues all the way until November 29th (race day!). This year we will have a beginner level and an intermediate level build up, thanks to Coach Gil! We will be sharing the suggested weekly running schedule each Sunday and it will be up to you to follow along and modify as needed. The Seattle Green Lake Running Group has runs every day of the week and our hope with this training is that you can target the weekly runs that fit with your availability. As we head into the fall the weather takes a turn and brings out the cold, wet and dark....What we have discovered over the years is that the best way to improve running consistency, familiarity with weekly events, create accountability, builds community, and best of all increases the amount of running friends you have while training over the next three months! As we get deeper into the buildup we will be doing some course previews of the Seattle half and full courses to add to the adventure! Be sure to bookmark this event page, so you can keep an eye out for the weekly running schedule updates!
