About the event
Congrats to everyone for finishing *The Odyssey*! Next we'll be discussing a much shorter, but no less enjoyable work: *Antigone* by Sophocles.
Antigone is a classic Athenian tragedy, centered on the daughter of the infamous Oedipus. After the king's sons die in a civil war, Antigone becomes determined to bury the body of her brother Polynices, even though he has been declared a traitor by the new king. The story contains themes of civil disobedience, which I think many of us can relate to. Feel free to read from whichever translation you prefer.
