About the event
An examination of Brazilian documentary theory and practice, exploring its history, language and production techniques. Through analysis of works by major filmmakers and study of different documentary approaches, the course addresses concepts including voice, point of view and ethics. Practical aspects of audiovisual production are covered: screenwriting, interviews, cinematography and sound design. Participants complete the course by producing a short documentary, applying the techniques and concepts learned throughout.
