Theatre production ‘Monika Haeger – inside the Stasi’ – a Stasi agent by conviction

As a child in care, Monika Haeger was indoctrinated into the socialist ideology; later, as a loyal GDR citizen and Stasi agent, she spied on an important East Berlin women’s group whilst posing as a close friend of the civil rights activist Bärbel Bohley.
