The Wild Angels
About the event
A motorcycle gang are in pursuit of the unique ‘Dragon Bike’, which was stolen from psychotic gang member Loser (played with menace and manic glee by Bruce Dern). Peter Fonda stars as Heavenly Blues, a nihilistic, anti-establishment biker, some three years before his iconic breakout role in Easy Rider. It’s an unsettling, controversial audience-dividing film that, even today, still packs a punch. Restored by Roundabout, working from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. Screen: NFT2. Screening details: Special screening available.
