Pickle and Tuxie Ceramics Open Studio
About the event
The birds and insects of the Cooks River are at the centre of ceramicist Donyale Harrison’s work. Using porcelain, hand-painting, screen printing and stamping, she captures their beauty, vibrancy and comedy in her work. For Sydney Craft Week, the studio moves into the carport from 11am to 5pm on the weekend of 17–18 October (the cats who live in the studio are shy), with sales, talks, hands-on screen-printing demonstrations and honey tastings if the bees cooperate. Drop in to talk all things clay and printing, then enjoy a walk along the nearby river to meet some of the local birds.
