MILLION DOLLAR MERMAID
About the event
Swimmer Esther Williams was one of the biggest movie stars in the world, and all her films featured intensively crafted water ballets. This is her magnum opus, the story of the original swimming superstar, Australia’s Annette Kellerman, and it’s a wild time at the movies. The water ballets are by the great Busby Berkeley, and they are arguably the most remarkable utilization of water since Niagara Falls.
