Mauvaise Graine
About the event
Spoiled playboy Henri won’t let an inconvenience like being cut off by daddy ruin his day. When his car is confiscated, he steals it back, soon finding himself inducted into a gang of thieves. Entertained by his new lifestyle, Henri’s escapades escalate when he falls in love with fellow thief Jeannette. Wilder’s directorial debut places deception, identity and class politics at the heart of its romance, previewing ideas he would remould and revisit over subsequent decades. Screen: NFT2. Screening details: English language subtitles.
