About the event

The course proposes a practical and fun immersion in the universe of improvisation as a creative tool for dialogue. Throughout the meetings, the instructors will encourage participants to think with agility, unleash imagination and explore scenic play. Each class begins with a brief theoretical introduction to the fundamentals of dialogue, followed by group improvisation dynamics. Class 1 | Warm-up and trust exercises. Class 2 | Active listening and active listening technical reactions. Quick reaction exercises. Class 3 | Character building and techniques for developing characters quickly. Physical and vocal transformation exercises. Class 4 | Narrative and structure of narrative elements in improvisation. Scene creation with beginning, middle and end. Class 5 | Spontaneity and creativity. Techniques to foster spontaneity. Free association games. Class 6 | Principles of theatrical improvisation. About the instructors: Luísa Guanabara is a screenwriter and screenwriting teacher. Graduated in Radio and TV, with a postgraduate degree in Screenwriting for Cinema and TV and a Master's degree in Literature and Literary Criticism. She taught classes at the International Cinema Academy (AIC) and has been a screenwriting teacher at the Museum of Image and Sound since 2019. She wrote the feature film
