Flute, cello and harp trio: Postcards across Europe
About the event
Join us for an intimate salon concert with Anna Kondrashina (flute), Ben Michaels (cello) and Lise Vandersmissen (harp), as they take you on a journey through Europe's rich musical landscape, where each work offers a musical ‘postcard’ from a different place, time and tradition. Reflecting the performers' own musical roots, the programme brings together music from different corners of Europe, from the refined elegance of Henri Eccles to the luminous colours of Lili Boulanger and Joseph Jongen, and the lyrical warmth of Tchaikovsky. Alongside these celebrated composers, audiences will also hear a new work for solo cello following the release of Ben Michaels's debut album the previous day. Enjoy the music in the cosy atmosphere of Supporters' House at the National Gallery, with a glass of bubbles or a refreshing non-alcoholic drink included on arrival. Access: For House and Exhibition Members.
