Colours of Flowers
About the event
Amsterdam-based artist Hsiu Hsuan Huang explores flowers, movement and emotion through traditional Chinese painting techniques, delicate colour washes and vibrant colours. Her work connects Chinese tradition with her personal experience of Amsterdam. Location at Keizersgracht 389, in a hair salon located in a historic canal house. Ring doorbell B, and Mr. Fikri will open the door for you. Colourful flowers The theme of the exhibition is Colors of Flowers. I create freestyle drawings on rice paper (Shen Paper), which beautifully highlights the vibrant colors and dynamic brush strokes. The variety of flowers that inspire me are often those I encounter on the street or in parks. And occasionally I purchase flowers to enjoy them at home for longer period, allowing me to observe how they gradually faded.
