Catch Me If You Can: The Musical
About the event
Inner West Theatre Company presents Catch Me If You Can, the exhilarating Broadway musical based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible story of Frank Abagnale Jr. Before his 21st birthday, Frank Abagnale Jr. had successfully posed as an airline pilot, doctor and lawyer while cashing millions of dollars in fraudulent cheques. As Frank charms his way across the globe, determined FBI agent Carl Hanratty pursues him in a relentless cat-and-mouse chase that becomes one of the most fascinating rivalries ever brought to the stage. Bursting with big-band swing, unforgettable songs, dazzling choreography and the glamour of the 1960s jet age, this Tony Award-nominated musical is an entertaining adventure from start to finish. Featuring a sensational score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the acclaimed songwriting team behind Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can is much more than a story about deception. At its heart, it is a moving tale of family, identity, ambition and the search for belonging, wrapped in a spectacular Broadway production filled with humour, romance and heart. Whether you're discovering Catch Me If You Can for the first time or returning to one of Broadway's most stylish musicals, prepare for an unforgettable evening of spectacular music, thrilling dance, larger-than-life characters and timeless entertainment.
