Bach in the Dark - music for cello and accordion

Bach in the Dark - music for cello and accordion

St James Church, Sydney

About the event

Artistic Director of Bach in the Dark, Rachel Scott, is joined by Australian accordion extraordinaire Anthony Schulz for a night of music from Bach to Brazil - and everything in between! The two friends will play music by Bach, music inspired by Bach (written just for them by Sydney-based composer Richard Charlton), music attributed to Bach (but really wasn’t written by him at all), and some songs and dances from around the world – taking you from Spain, France, Brazil and then back to Australia. Get ready for a night full of music that will make you smile, get your toes tapping, make your heart beat slower (at times!), and make you want to join in singing! It’ll be a night of musical celebration! The doors to the crypt open at 6.30, and seating is unnumbered. You may want to bring your own cushion (you may be seated on pews), or something warm (it is, after all, a crypt!). There will be a glass of wine (or non-alchoholic beverage) offered to every audience member on arrival.
