Join art historian and best-selling author Amy Dempsey in conversation with artist Aliki Braine, for a thought-provoking discussion on the changing portrayal of the female form through the History of Art. Set in the intimate surroundings of the Supporters’ House Salon, this exclusive talk offers Members the opportunity to continue the conversation following the public book talk, which can be booked here. Spanning the Renaissance to the present day, Amy and Aliki will consider how representations of the female body have both reflected and shaped the cultural, social and political values of their time. Together, they will explore what these representations tell us about the societies that created them and how their meanings continue to evolve.
