Please join your fellow [VSDC]()ers at Rooted3 in Bethesda for dinner starting at 5:00, then walk around the corner at 6:45 pm to Wonderland Books to hear [Rowdy Girl Sanctuary](https://rowdygirlsanctuary.org/) founder Renee King-Sonnen, discuss her new book *Rowdy Girl: Confessions of a Vegan Cattle Rancher.* (The book event starts promptly at 7pm, so we need to leave on time.) King-Sonnen will be in conversation VSDC's own Melanie Kaplan, award-winning independent journalist and author of *Lab Dog: A Beagle and His Human Investigate the Surprising World of Animal Research.*
