I Hate Gay Halloween Cover Show: My Chemical Romance, Abba, and Paramore ($15 Cover) @ El Rio
About the event
I HATE GAY HALLOWEEN!
The night before the night before All Hallows' Eve, we paint the town red, the night black, and our eyes with glitter. Join us for a night of singing your lungs out and dancing your wig off at the Bay Area's queerest Halloween Party. Come in your most esoteric costume and win a prize!
Featuring:
gloomy june as My Chemical Romance
gloomy june is the soundtrack of a fog-soaked San Francisco Summer. Punk guitar riffs and rhythms combine with indie pop melodies to create emotional anthems you can simultaneously dance and yearn to. Self-titled album out now.
Arcade 9 as Paramore
Exploding out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Arcade 9 is breathing new life into pop-punk with soaring hooks, razor-sharp riffs, and the kind of anthems made for screaming back at the stage. Blending the emotional punch of early-2000s emo with the urgency of 90s skate punk, the female-fronted four-piece delivers songs that are equal parts nostalgia, catharsis, and controlled chaos. Whether it's a sweaty club show or a festival stage, Arcade 9 thrives on loud guitars, bigger choruses, and unforgettable live performances. Their self-proclaimed "Nostalgiacore" sound will make you want to crack open a can of Surge, dust off your skateboard, and fire up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
