WHAT IF YOUR BODY ISN'T BETRAYING YOU?

At some point, many of us are handed a story about getting older:
Your metabolism slows down.
Your body changes.
You can't eat the way you used to.
You have to work harder for the same result.
It feels... getting older becomes something your body is doing to you.
But what if the story is more nuanced than that?
What if your body isn't betraying you?
What if your metabolism isn't the villain we've been taught to fear?
And what if some of what we call a "slowing metabolism" is actually a much more interesting conversation...
This week we'll explore the myth of the "slowing metabolism" through the lens of Eating Psychology and Embodiment.
Because underneath the metabolism conversation are often much deeper questions:
What brilliant reasons are behind our body's changes?
What happens when we can no longer rely on being young?
And what happens when we stop making our bodies prove that they're still worthy?
IN THIS PRESENCING CIRCLE...
We'll sit together in a small circle and create space to listen—to ourselves and to one another.
One person speaks.
The rest of us practice listening.
No fixing.
No advice.
No comparing.
Just presence.
We may also explore a somatic practice together, inviting the body into the conversation.
Come with your curiosity.
Come with whatever stories you've inherited about your body.
Come notice what happens when you begin to question them.
Because perhaps our relationship with Food and Body isn't about getting ourselves back to who we once were.
Perhaps it is about becoming more deeply ourselves right NOW, in this body, at this age, in this life.
