Mayne Island Day Visit: Walks, Beaches, Coves and Gardens. No Vehicle Needed. Free Ferry for 65+
About the event
• Free ferry for 65 and over. $21 return for others.
The plan is to visit THREE areas of interest on Mayne.
These are: Village Bay, Miner’s Bay, and Lighthouse Point.
Please Google Mayne Island and each of these locations to read about their attractions. You should also go to Google Maps to see the location of each. They are not far from each other.
They are all reachable by community bus or the Island has an organized system with designated places for people to stand and get rides from locals.
We will do leisurely walks, visit beaches and scenic rocky coves, check out funky stores, have lunch, relax on benches, wade in seawater if you wanna, collect shells.
INFORMATION POINTS:
• ferry leaves Tsawwassen at 10.25am, reaches Mayne at 11.55am (90 minutes).
• ferry leaves Mayne at 6.05pm and docks at 7.13pm.
• we take Express bus 620 back to Bridgeport station. We’ll be on the Skytrain by 8pm, still light.
