St. Edward's University - Main Building
About the event
Come paint St. Edward's University's Main Building with us! The building was designed by Nicholas J. Clayton in a Gothic Revival style. It was first completed in 1888 and rebuilt after a fire in 1903, Main Building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973, along with adjacent Holy Cross. ([Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Building_(St._Edward's_University)))
We will meet along University on the North side of Main Building. We will gather again after the paint out for a "throw down" to share completed and in progress work.
**NOTE: Plein Air Austin members will be back on campus for the Austin Studio Tours the weekends of November 14-15th & 21st-22nd. Participating members will be sharing work at the St. Edward's art department.*
What to bring:
• The art medium and supplies you'd like to work in — no supplies will be provided • Water and sun protection, as the paint out will be outdoors (there is limited shade around the building's exterior)
Good to know:
• This paint out will focus on the building's beautiful exterior and surrounding campus grounds. We do not have approval to paint inside the building. • Restrooms will not be available on site. • Parking: Metered parking is available throughout parts of campus. It is also possible to buy a temporary day pass thru the university ahead of the paint out. • Plan to use public transportation or carpool if you would like to avoid paid parking.
