Introduction to DJing: Module II

Foundational course covering DJing and digital music production essentials, fostering knowledge exchange and hands-on technical engagement with the field. Participants will explore equipment and software operation in a collaborative setting. Class 1 | Overview of primary DJing equipment and software. Class 2 | Hands-on: controller practice. Class 3 | Hands-on: mixing techniques. Class 4 | Digital music production fundamentals. Class 5 | Hands-on: original track creation. Class 6 | Employment landscape, digital platforms, distribution and promotion. About the instructor: Simoníssima is a DJ, music researcher and educator with a degree in Communication from Universidade Mackenzie and specializations in Interactive Media from Senac, Technological Aesthetics from PUC-SP, Sound Design from SP Escola de Teatro and Sound for Cinema and TV from Academia Internacional de Cinema (AIC). She creates soundtracks for events, performances, exhibitions, film and television, and regularly teaches courses and workshops on soundtrack and introduction to digital DJing. She has performed at Circuito Sesc de Artes, Virada Cultural SP, Casa de Francisca, Casa Natura Musical, Mundo Pensante and other venues. August 18, 20, 25 and 27 and September 1 and 3, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7pm to 9pm.
