Slow Dating for Men Who Love Men (and Love Books)
About the event
No profiles. No swiping. No awkward one-liners shouted over a loud bar. Just a warm room full of books — and men who actually read them. This is slow dating the Metis way: an evening built around meeting *people*, not scrolling through *profiles*. You'll get to know other queer men who love to read through a handful of gentle, low-pressure activities we've put together — the kind that work even if you're on the shy side, or if you'd honestly rather talk about a favourite novel than make small talk. Nobody has to "perform", and no bell rings to push you on to the next person. And there's no clock emptying the room, either. We start at 19:00 and the programme runs to around 21:30 — but these evenings have a way of drifting happily onward: people stay, keep talking over a drink or a homemade croque monsieur, and it easily rolls on towards 22:00. Stay as long as the conversation does. Hosted by the queer team behind Metis, in our multilingual bookshop-café on Gleimstraße in Prenzlauer Berg. A fully queer atmosphere, queer books and queer conversation starters throughout. The evening runs in English and German — whichever you feel most at home in. Come for the books, stay for the people. 📍 Metis Books & Café · Gleimstraße 21 · 10437 Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg) 🗓 Friday, 18 September · from 19:00 (easily until \~22:00) 🎟 14,90 · Limited spots, please book ahead 🌈 For men who love men — and books
