ChiTownBio Presents: Chicago Open Bioinformatics
About the event
ChiTownBio is hosting the second meeting of its Bioinformatics Club! We're hosting another meeting of our bio-enthusiasts looking to work on bioinformatics projects at all levels. Whether you've only just heard the term or whether you've had years of experience, join like minded enthusiasts for a few hours of discussion, demonstrations, and networking.
We're going to start with some casual, short presentations and then move towards a bit of coworking so people can connect in the various specialty areas. We'll be hosting this event monthly, and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!
ChiTownBio strongly believes that working in a biotechnology future should be accessible to all Chicagoans, regardless of race, gender expression, sexual identity, national origin, or any other protected class. Our events are spaces for open and friendly sharing of ideas, and we are all responsible for ensuring everyone feels safe and respected. We are committed to hosting inclusive events, and will not tolerate any actions or attitudes contrary to our deeply held beliefs in inclusivity. By attending this event, you are agreeing to uphold this standard and acknowledge that the organizers reserve the right to restrict attendance.
If you have any concerns about another person's behavior, you may file a report via email with Andy Scarpelli ([andy@chitownbio.org](http://mailto:andy@chitownbio.org/ "http://mailto:andy@chitownbio.org/")). We are committed to ensuring that ChiTownBio is a safe space for all, and will take precautionary measures or responsive actions to uphold these ideals. Space is limited and we have enough material for 5 machines. If you are planning on working in a pair, please write in advance.
