Prana is the vital energy needed by physical and subtle layers on our body. It is the Prana or life force in us that nourishes the mind and keeps the body alive. Pranayama means working in the dimension of Prana and is an integral part of a developing yoga practice. In addition to supporting and deepening your Yoga asana practice, learning ways to calm or invigorate the body through breathing will greatly benefit all aspects of your life.
