Celebrate Diwali!
About the event
Diwali, celebrated across India, is the Festival of Lights — honoring the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and hope over fear. Families light diyas (lamps), create rangoli (floor art) designs, share sweets, and gather in gratitude.
What to expect at this event:
• A family-friendly presentation introducing Diwali through photos and storytelling.
• Time for questions and conversation.
• A hands-on craft activity: the first 30 families will receive supplies to create colorful rangoli on muslin bags to take home.
About the presenter:
Parvati Patil started Tiny Traditions because she cares deeply about helping families pass on heritage, spark curiosity, and create moments of connection and belonging through celebration. Tiny Traditions creates joyful, screen-free celebration boxes that help families with young children explore traditions from around the world. Each box combines storytelling, crafts, recipes, and music to make cultural learning easy and meaningful at home.
