DMV Nerdettes After Dark 👻 | Soul Strolls at Congressional Cemetery

Spend Halloween night with DMV Nerdettes at Soul Strolls: Becoming America at Historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC. This immersive after-dark experience blends history, storytelling, theater, and spooky-season atmosphere as guests explore the cemetery in guided queue groups. Soul Strolls tells the history of unsung heroes and heroines in American and DC history, including Indigenous, Freedmen and those who had been enslaved, and women who have been written out of the history books.
I’ll be attending the 9:40 PM tour on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and anyone who wants to tour with the group should purchase a ticket for that same time slot if available. Tickets are almost all sold out, so act fast if you want to attend!
🎟️ Ticket Details https://congressionalcemetery.org/soul-strolls/ General admission is $40 plus tax, and each attendee is responsible for purchasing her own ticket. The guided experience lasts approximately one hour. Ticketed guests will be organized into queued groups to tour the cemetery. If you don’t want to purchase a tour ticket, you’re still welcome to join us at the event. There will be entertainment, food, and activity around the grounds for guests who prefer to hang out without doing the guided tour.
👻 Costumes Costumes are absolutely welcome for Halloween night, but they are not required. Come dressed up, dressed casually, or somewhere in between.
🍸 After the Tour Depending on who RSVPs and what the group is feeling, we may head into DC afterward for a Halloween bar crawl, party, or late-night drinks. We’ll coordinate post-tour plans in the Meetup discussion once we know who’s coming.
