RARA AVIS
About the event
During Amsterdam Dance Event, the queer night RARA AVIS returns to Club NYX. Queer DJs and artists spin techno, house, disco, and hyperpop. You celebrate unconventional self-expression with bold looks, creative makeup, and energetic performances on the dance floor. A night for everyone who colors outside the lines
Rara Avis is a queer nightparty taking place at Club NYX during Amsterdam Dance Event. The night is known as the colorful counter-voice for those who don't fit into the standard techno formula. You will find a dance floor where self-expression takes center stage: daring outfits, creative makeup, and an atmosphere of freedom and energy.
A musical mix from techno to hyperpop
Queer DJs and artists provide the music, with a program that brings together techno, house, disco, and hyperpop. The evening invites you to push boundaries, both on the dance floor and in your look. Rara Avis is more than a party: it is a celebration of the extraordinary and the unconventional.
Club NYX as home for the queer community
Club NYX is a trusted spot for the queer community in Amsterdam. The club spans three floors, each with its own musical style and atmosphere. The door policy is inclusive: NYX welcomes everyone who is there to enjoy themselves and be themselves. That makes it a fitting home base for Rara Avis.
